This is a suggestion to all states or countries in Africa: A bill should be enacted in every country in Africa to help stop or curb the promotion of tribalism in the political scene.
Tribalism does not help to develop the countries of Africa, instead it destroys them. The leaders and the politicians should come up with a bill or bills that will stop tribalism and discrimination in the political arena in all the African countries. This suggestion should be brought up in Nigeria which is going through her elections. Policies are needed to curb tribalism, to bring people of all tribes to work together to develop the countries and to develop Africa in general. There are 371 tribes in Nigeria, 250 tribes in Cameroon, about 140 tribes in Libya. Africa is a continent made of many tribes and so tribalism is a gigantic issue in Africa. This issue must be confronted not ignored. Let the presidents, leaders, politicians, business men/women and people of Africa come together to discuss this issue in detail to find the best way to solve or reduce it. Tribalism has led to ethnic cleansing, lets find a better way. The Pan-African Party Movement is a movement that involves the people of Africa and is led by Africans. Culture is king, culture is even God, but when it comes to politics, intellectual superiority is king and leaders should be selected based on their merits not where they come from. So lets promote our culture, lets celebrate our roots but let us not allow our culture to dictate our politics. Lets be pragmatic when it comes to politics, we should elect the leaders who deserve to lead us so that our countries and our continent can be more peaceful. A peaceful Africa leads to progress and growth. 2015 is the year to end all major wars in Africa and generate growth. Xenophobia must stop in South Africa and land reformation must be implemented in South Africa, you might ask why. This is my response: It is lack of land that pushed black South Africans to start Xenophobia. Remember, the Black South Africans have to compete with foreigners for jobs to survive because they do not have lands,and why don't they have lands?
